A BILL to amend and reenact section twelve, article four, chapter forty-eight-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuation of the family law masters system.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section twelve, article four, chapter forty-eight-a of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 4. PROCEEDINGS BEFORE A MASTER.

§48A-4-12. Continuation of family law masters system.

After having conducted a performance and fiscal audit through its joint committee on government operations, pursuant to section nine, article ten, chapter four of this code, the Legislature hereby finds and declares the family law masters system should be continued and reestablished. Accordingly, notwithstanding the provisions of section four, article ten, chapter four of this code, the family law masters system shallcontinue to exist until the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-three ninety-four, so that the joint committee on government operations may monitor compliance by the family law masters system with the recommendations of the performance audit.



NOTE: This bill provides for the continuation of the Family Law Masters System for one year, until July 1, 1994.
